I was therefore pleased to discover your web site. The ideas I've had are similar to your own suggestions e.g. silver gloves under another pair of thin gloves under mitts and incorporating a chemical hand warmer but I was very interested read about the mitts with a zip to 'free up' the index finger. I looked up the web site but it looks as if they are only available in men's sizes. As I am hoping to see the Northern Lights I found your comments about photographing them very helpful. I note that no filters should be used; does this also apply to a UV filter which of course I normally leave on for protecting the lens? Thank you for your help.
